The Art of Meditation: On-Going Group
September 23 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am$5.00
Note: Date Changes
The third session of mindful meditation. We will have 2-20 minute meditations and learn some things in between about meditation. Your love donations can be made on my website or at the door. All donations go to Grace’s Place the crisis nursery in Washington, Missouri
I am so excited to be presenting this meditation group space at The Center for Balanced Living. (Please read to the end.)
The goal of meditation at its deepest level is to experience freedom from the ego-self, development of a sense of harmony with the universe, and to increase one’s sensitivity, compassion, and service to others.
Clinical studies over the last 30 years have documented that the use of regular meditation has significant effects on mind and body:
Normalizes blood pressure
Improves immune function
Slows the aging process
Reduces anxiety, burnout, improves stress related disorders
Promotes the experience of relaxation throughout the day
Improves psychological health and self-esteem
Lowers incidence of depression, anger, irritability
Increases positive thinking
Facilitates psychological development
Please consider joining me for one or ALL of the scheduled group meditations. There will be morning groups (please share this with the stay at home parents) as well as evening groups. Please check the dates below and mark your calendar. You may participate online where you live at our scheduled times or meet me at The Center for Balanced Living to connect with a group face-to-face. There is no charge, however “love donations” will be accepted and given as a donation to Grace’s Place Crisis Nursery in Washington, Missouri each month.
The group will have 2-20 minute meditation cycles. We will share our own personal experiences with meditation and learn more about meditation from articles that are brought in to read.
Space is limited to 12-15 for now until I get the downstairs finished at The Center, so please let me know if you are coming.
