Are you well?
What does that mean?
Well to me it means you are healthy in body, mind, and spirit. You experience happiness and joy. You handle stress well. You feel good about who you are as a person.
If you had trouble saying yes to any of those ideas or thoughts maybe it is time to take a closer look at your life. I’m not saying it needs to be perfect inside and out, I don’t think anyone’s life is, but if you want to make some changes why not start right now today?
Am I well? I consider myself to be well today. I experience happiness on most days. I find many different moments to experience gratitude each and every day. I am feeling more and more joy in my life. I’m currently working on opening myself up to be more vulnerable to those around me. I am working on developing deep relationships with some people, that one is not easy for me.
As some of you know, I do have some health challenges, of the physical nature. I have autoimmune issues that I am currently working on to heal and reverse. When I approach dis-ease from a metaphysical perspective I no longer believe in the idea that my immune system is “overactive”. I do however believe in the piece where my own cells are attacking my tissues. So if I want to “be well” in this arena I must begin to look at HOW am I attacking myself on an energetic level? This takes some time and discernment and gut wrenching honesty. I have been working on this issue for quite some time now. I have made some corrections. I have reversed some dis-ease processes in my body (Hashimoto’s), so I feel I am headed in the right direction. I do have to practice patience with this aspect of my life, after all, I can’t expect my body to turn stuff around overnight. There is a layered process to healing. There are many steps to healing this physical body.
I believe with every cell that is in my body that food is absolutley medicine for us humans. The choices we make 3, sometimes more, times a day are critical to our overall health picture and how quickly our bodies can heal from dis-ease or trauma. It is our responsibility to make the best choices when it comes to food. You must find a way to move past the stories you tell yourself about who you are and what you can afford etc. Once you switch over to a very clean eating lifestyle, the food is nutrient dense and therefore you find yourself not needing or wanting to eat as much as you were before of the food that really was not feeding you on a cellular level.
Am I well? Yes. I must see myself as well, in body, mind, and spirit (even if I am not yet) in order to direct the energetic flow in that direction. The Universe can only do what it is told to do. What you think, is just as important as what you eat. This I learned years ago from a book my mom gave me when I was still in high school, “Your Mind Can Heal” by Frederick Bales.
Are you well? today? Take an inventory. Design a plan. Execute the plan.
