The Emotional Side of Eating and Food

Do you identify as an “emotional eater”? Have you ever wondered WHY you emotionally eat and sometimes just can’t stop yourself?
Shelves are filled with books on how to deal with your emotional eating issues, but is it really a problem? It is very true that we have some epidemic concerns about weight, overeating, under-eating, binge eating, and bulimia. I’ve noticed that despite the strategies for emotional eating that the experts are suggesting, people just can’t seem to control themselves. Why is that?

Many of my clients try really hard, make efforts, eat only when they’re hungry, watch their nutritional choices, and do their best to manage their appetites, only to report some sort of failure – “I was doing so well, and then…” Why can’t we get ourselves under control?

Many times, when we can’t solve a problem with food, eating, nutrition, it’s a big red flag that it’s time to “re-frame” the problem. By doing so, we improve our chances of the lights coming on and some wisdom coming through.

As I am sure you have noticed there are many “programs” out there on the market that promise to help you lose weight, change your life, bring happiness. Many of those programs have high merit and are sound from a nutritional standpoint, many, however, are not. In fact, many can do long-term damage to your gut, which then just leads to other issues. In order for long-term change to occur, you must be willing to address the physical health, but also the emotional, mental, psychological and spiritual side of the individual wanting to change.

In this 3 hour workshop, we are going to do a deep dive into your emotional eating issues. Come ready to uncover answers that can help you shift out of eating patterns that aren’t healthy for you.
